Director Surgical Services

BayCare Health System is seeking an inspirational leader to serve as the Director of Surgical Services. This individual will be a driven and passionate healthcare professional who will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of the surgical services department. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare administration and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.The ideal candidate for this role should have a minimum of five years of progressive experience in healthcare management and a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration or a related field. Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the surgical services department.
2. Maintain compliance with current healthcare regulations and standards.
3. Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care and operational efficiency.
4. Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
5. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure a cohesive healthcare experience.
6. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
7. Lead and motivate staff to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
8. Create and maintain budgets and financial reports.
9. Manage personnel issues, including hiring, evaluating, and disciplining staff.
10. Establish and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including vendors and healthcare professionals.
