- Oversee all accounting operations for BayCare Health System in order to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team’s success.
- Monitor financial performance and provide regular reports to senior management, highlighting any areas of concern or improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and information.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements and ensure they are in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage the annual budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to ensure financial goals are met.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in accounting regulations and ensure that the organization is compliant.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Finance: A Strong Educational Background In Accounting Or Finance Is Essential For A Director Accounting Position At Baycare Health System. This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has A Solid Foundation In Accounting Principles And Is Equipped With The Necessary Knowledge To Manage Financial Operations.
Cpa Certification: A Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Certification Is Highly Preferred For A Director Accounting Role At Baycare Health System. This Qualification Demonstrates That The Candidate Has Passed Rigorous Exams And Has Met The Experience Requirements Set By The State Board Of Accountancy, Ensuring A High Level Of Expertise In Accounting.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Accounting: Baycare Health System Requires Candidates For The Director Accounting Position To Have A Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Accounting, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting.
