Activities Therapist

As an Activities Therapist, you will have the opportunity to plan, implement, and evaluate activities and programs to promote physical, cognitive, and emotional well-being for our patients. We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and driven individual with a Bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or a related field and at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting. - Develop and implement therapeutic activities and programs to address the physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of patients
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify and address patient needs and goals
- Conduct assessments to evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment plans
- Attend team meetings and provide input on patient care plans
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for patients during activities and programs
- Assist and guide patients in participating in activities and encourage social interaction
- Develop and maintain relationships with patients and their families to support their overall well-being
- Stay up-to-date on current therapeutic techniques and best practices in the field
- Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in patient care and treatment
- Collaborate with community resources to provide additional support and resources for patients
- Serve as an advocate for patients' needs and rights
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality with patients and their families.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Therapy, Therapeutic Recreation, Or A Related Field.
Certification As A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (Ctrs) Through The National Council For Therapeutic Recreation Certification (Nctrc).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Or Rehabilitation Setting, Preferably Working With Patients With Physical Or Mental Disabilities.
Knowledge Of Evidence-Based Therapeutic Interventions And Experience Developing And Implementing Individualized Treatment Plans.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Interdisciplinary Healthcare Team Members And Effectively Engage Patients In Therapeutic Activities.
