- Develop and implement purchasing strategies for packaging materials to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality products to customers.
- Manage and optimize the packaging supply chain, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and building relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor and track supplier performance to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to align packaging strategies with overall business goals and objectives.
- Utilize market analysis and industry trends to identify potential cost savings opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support new product launches and ensure packaging meets all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process efficiencies within the packaging supply chain.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to drive effective communication and collaboration.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in packaging materials and processes to make strategic recommendations to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals to ensure high performance and development opportunities.
- Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for packaging materials.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Effectively communicate and present purchasing strategies and performance to senior management.
Extensive Experience In Purchasing And Supply Chain Management: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Purchasing And Supply Chain Management, With A Focus On Packaging Materials. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Sourcing Strategies, Vendor Management, And Cost Negotiations.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Packaging Materials And Processes: The Sr. Manager Of Purchasing - Packaging Will Be Responsible For Managing The Procurement Of Packaging Materials For Baxter International. Therefore, They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Different Packaging Materials, Their Properties, And Manufacturing Processes.
Strong Project Management Skills: This Role Will Require The Candidate To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Ensuring Timely Delivery Of Packaging Materials While Maintaining Quality And Cost Targets. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Complex Projects And Meeting Deadlines.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Senior Manager, The Candidate Will Be Required To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams, Vendors, And Suppliers.
