- Conduct thorough research and analysis of privacy laws and regulations to keep the company informed and up to date.
- Develop and implement privacy policies, procedures, and best practices for the company.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify potential privacy risks and provide proactive solutions.
- Review and negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Stay informed about industry trends and developments in privacy laws and regulations and make recommendations to senior management.
- Conduct privacy impact assessments and audits to identify any gaps in compliance and suggest corrective actions.
- Train and educate employees on privacy policies and procedures to promote a culture of privacy awareness.
- Serve as the point of contact for privacy-related inquiries and concerns from internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on privacy incidents and breaches, and manage the appropriate response and mitigation efforts.
- Represent the company in privacy-related legal proceedings and investigations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the company's products, services, and technology to ensure privacy compliance.
- Continuously review and update privacy policies and procedures to reflect changes in laws and regulations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on privacy-related matters and provide proactive and strategic advice.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with external privacy experts, regulators, and industry groups.
Extensive Knowledge Of Privacy Laws And Regulations: A Senior Counsel - Privacy At Baxter International Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Privacy Laws And Regulations, Including Gdpr, Ccpa, And Hipaa. They Should Also Stay Updated On Any Changes Or Developments In These Laws.
Experience With Privacy Compliance And Risk Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Managing Privacy Compliance Programs And Conducting Risk Assessments. This Includes Developing And Implementing Policies And Procedures To Ensure Compliance With Privacy Laws.
Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills: As A Senior Counsel, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills. They Will Be Responsible For Providing Legal Advice To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, And Negotiating Contracts With Third-Party Vendors And Partners.
Legal Background With A Focus On Privacy Law: A Senior Counsel - Privacy Should Have A Law Degree And Be Licensed To Practice Law. They Should Also Have Experience Working In A Law Firm Or In-House Legal Department With A Focus On Privacy Law.
