  1. Develop and optimize materials used in medical devices to improve patient outcomes and safety.
  2. Conduct research and experiments to evaluate the performance and properties of various materials.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify material requirements and develop new materials for specific applications.
  4. Analyze and interpret data to determine the best materials for use in medical devices.
  5. Continuously monitor and evaluate the latest advancements in material science and technology to ensure our products remain innovative and competitive.
  6. Identify and troubleshoot material-related issues during product development and manufacturing processes.
  7. Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards for materials used in medical devices.
  8. Work closely with suppliers to source and qualify materials that meet our quality and safety standards.
  9. Participate in product design reviews and provide technical expertise on material selection and performance.
  10. Document and report on material testing results, findings, and recommendations.
  11. Train and mentor junior material scientists on best practices and techniques.
  12. Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve project goals and objectives.
  13. Seek opportunities for continuous improvement and cost optimization in material selection and use.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures related to material development and use.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Materials Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Materials Research And Development

  • Strong Understanding Of Material Properties And Characterization Techniques

  • Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Quality Control Processes For Medical Device Materials

  • Excellent Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Design And Execute Experiments And Analyze Data.
