  1. Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure accurate inventory levels by conducting regular cycle counts and reconciling any discrepancies.
  3. Prepare materials for production by pulling, staging, and delivering them to the appropriate areas.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
  5. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and responsible manner.
  6. Collaborate with other departments, such as production and quality control, to ensure smooth material flow and timely delivery.
  7. Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to maintain quality standards and prevent equipment damage.
  8. Identify and report any material defects or issues to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
  9. Assist in the implementation of process improvements and lean manufacturing practices.
  10. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
  11. Continuously strive to meet or exceed productivity, quality, and accuracy goals.
  12. Participate in training and development opportunities to improve job knowledge and skills.
  13. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient material flow and resolve any issues that may arise.
  14. Maintain accurate records of material transactions and update inventory systems as needed.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management to support the overall goals and objectives of the company.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Material Handler Job At Baxter International Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Forklift Certification: Material Handlers Are Required To Operate Forklifts To Move And Stack Materials. Therefore, They Must Have A Valid Forklift Certification.

  • Previous Experience In Material Handling: Prior Work Experience In A Warehouse Or Manufacturing Setting, Specifically In Material Handling, Is Essential For This Role.

  • Physical Stamina And Strength: Material Handlers Are Required To Lift And Move Heavy Items On A Regular Basis. Therefore, They Must Have The Physical Stamina And Strength To Perform These Tasks.

  • Attention To Detail: Material Handlers Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Accurate Inventory Management And Proper Handling Of Materials. This Includes Accurately Recording Quantities And Tracking Inventory Levels.
