
Medical Officer
Currently accepting applications for full-time Medical Officers (LVN, CMA – Certified Medical Assistant) in the Bastrop County Jail. Provides nursing services, treatments and diagnostic and preventive procedures appropriate for inmate care and safety. Interprets physician’s orders, formulates and implements nursing care plans consistent with physician’s established protocols and evaluates inmate care issues related to all health/mental health issues. Administers prescribed medications; assists physician with sick call; checks and records vital signs. Applies surgical dressings and bandages; performs routine medical procedures and provides emergency first aid care.
Must be licensed as an LVN certified
Must possess or be able to obtain a Jailers License through the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Education (TCLEOSE)
