Site Safety Specialist

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify and address potential hazards and risks in the workplace
• Train and educate employees on safety protocols and procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment and emergency response plans
• Collaborate with management and department heads to ensure safety protocols are effectively communicated and implemented throughout the organization
• Investigate and report on any safety incidents or near misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety-related activities, including incident reports, training records, and safety data sheets
• Stay current with industry regulations and best practices, making recommendations for continuous improvement to the safety program
• Serve as a resource for employees and management on safety-related matters and provide guidance and support as needed
• Conduct safety orientations for new employees and contractors and ensure all necessary safety training is completed before beginning work on site
• Collaborate with external agencies and organizations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and participate in safety-related audits and inspections.
