  1. Source and negotiate contracts for the purchase of raw materials to meet the needs of BASF's global operations.
  2. Continuously monitor market trends and prices to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure competitive pricing.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and anticipate raw material needs for current and future products.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent and timely delivery of raw materials.
  5. Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify potential new sources for raw materials.
  6. Manage supplier performance and address any issues that may arise.
  7. Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and contracts.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
  9. Stay informed of industry developments and trends in raw material sourcing and procurement.
  10. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Work closely with stakeholders to align procurement strategies with business goals.
  12. Monitor and report on key performance indicators, such as cost savings and supplier performance, to management.
  13. Participate in budget planning and forecasting for raw material procurement.
  14. Train and mentor junior procurement staff as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Purchasing, Preferably In The Chemical Or Manufacturing Industry.

  • Knowledge Of Raw Materials Sourcing And Procurement Processes, Including Market Analysis And Supplier Evaluation.

  • Strong Negotiation And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Procurement Software, With The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Informed Purchasing Decisions.
