  1. Lead and manage engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring all project objectives are met within the allocated budget and timeline.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  3. Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and progress towards project goals.
  4. Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges that may arise during the project.
  5. Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project.
  7. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
  8. Manage project budgets and resources effectively to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
  9. Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve project management processes and procedures.
  11. Foster strong relationships with external partners, suppliers, and contractors to facilitate project success.
  12. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in engineering technology to drive innovation within projects.
  13. Represent BASF and act as a brand ambassador in all interactions with stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Project Engineering Manager At Basf Should Have A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles, Processes, And Practices. A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For This Role.

  • Project Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Managing Projects, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Chemical Industry Setting. This Includes Proven Success In Leading Cross-Functional Teams, Managing Budgets And Timelines, And Delivering Projects On Time And Within Budget.

  • Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Project Engineering Manager, The Ability To Effectively Lead And Communicate With Team Members, Stakeholders, And Upper Management Is Crucial. This Includes Strong Interpersonal Skills, The Ability To Delegate And Motivate Team Members, And The Ability To Present Technical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.

  • Technical Expertise: A Strong Understanding Of Engineering Principles And Processes Is Essential For A Project Engineering Manager At Basf. This Includes Knowledge Of Project Management Tools And Techniques, As Well As Experience With Cad Software And Other Engineering Software Programs.
