  1. Develop and implement strategies for sourcing and developing raw materials for BASF's global chemical production and research operations.
  2. Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential sources of raw materials, evaluate their quality and suitability for use, and make recommendations to management.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure raw materials meet quality, sustainability, and efficiency standards.
  4. Monitor and assess market trends and developments in the chemical industry to stay informed on potential new raw material sources and technologies.
  5. Perform experiments and testing to evaluate the performance and safety of raw materials.
  6. Utilize your scientific expertise to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to raw materials.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials.
  8. Stay up-to-date on relevant regulations and compliance standards for raw materials.
  9. Contribute to the development and improvement of processes and procedures related to raw material sourcing and development.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and support to colleagues and stakeholders on raw materials and their applications.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and optimize raw material sourcing and development processes to drive innovation and quality.
  12. Adhere to company safety and ethical standards while handling and working with raw materials.
  13. Actively participate in product development and innovation projects to provide input and expertise on raw materials.
  14. Keep detailed records and documentation of all raw material testing, research, and development activities.
  15. Communicate regularly with management and other stakeholders to provide updates on raw material sourcing and development initiatives and progress.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field, With A Strong Focus On Raw Materials Analysis And Characterization.

  • Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Chemical Manufacturing Industry.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Raw Material Properties And Their Impact On Product Quality And Performance.

  • Proficiency In Analytical Techniques Such As Hplc, Gc-Ms, Ftir, And Wet Chemistry Methods.

  • Familiarity With Regulatory Requirements And Standards For Raw Material Testing And Documentation, Such As Reach And Ghs.
