- Develop and improve cleaning products in accordance with company goals and objectives.
- Utilize expertise in chemistry to drive product development and ensure highest quality standards are met.
- Conduct research and experiments to identify and implement new and innovative cleaning solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and problem-solve any issues related to product development.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in chemistry to continuously improve and enhance cleaning products.
- Conduct thorough testing and analysis of products to ensure they meet all regulatory and safety standards.
- Work closely with suppliers to source high-quality raw materials and maintain strong relationships.
- Create and maintain accurate documentation of all experiments, procedures, and results.
- Train and mentor junior chemists to enhance their knowledge and skills in product development.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for the cleaning products division and provide technical support to other departments.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing products to meet customer needs and market demands.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective product messaging and support promotional activities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences and events to showcase our products and expertise.
- Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment and ensure proper handling and disposal of chemicals and waste materials.
Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Or A Closely Related Field Is Typically Required For A Chemist-Cleaning Products Position At Basf.
Experience In Formulation Development: Candidates Should Have Hands-On Experience In Formulating And Developing Cleaning Products, Including Knowledge Of Surfactants, Solvents, And Other Critical Ingredients.
Knowledge Of Cleaning Product Regulations: Strong Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements For Cleaning Products, Such As Those Outlined By The Environmental Protection Agency (Epa) And Occupational Safety And Health Administration (Osha), Is Essential For This Role.
Analytical Skills: Chemist-Cleaning Products Must Have Strong Analytical Skills To Perform Various Tests And Analysis On Raw Materials, Intermediates, And Finished Products To Ensure Quality And Effectiveness.
Team Player With Strong Communication Skills: Working Collaboratively With Other Chemists, Engineers, And Cross-Functional Teams Is Crucial In This Role. Candidates Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Be Able To Present Their Findings And Ideas Effectively.
