Job Description

  1. Conduct allergenicity assessments of new and existing products to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal safety standards.
  2. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize allergen exposure and prevent adverse reactions.
  3. Stay up-to-date on industry regulations and standards related to allergenicity, and communicate any changes or updates to relevant teams.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review product formulations and make recommendations for allergen substitutions or labeling changes.
  5. Conduct thorough reviews of ingredient lists and manufacturing processes to identify potential allergen risks.
  6. Communicate with suppliers to obtain relevant allergen information and verify compliance with safety standards.
  7. Participate in product development meetings and provide valuable insights on allergen safety considerations.
  8. Train and educate colleagues on allergenicity assessments and risk management strategies.
  9. Monitor and investigate any customer complaints related to allergen safety, and take appropriate actions to prevent future incidents.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on allergenicity and provide guidance and support to other departments as needed.
  11. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all allergenicity assessments and risk management strategies.
  12. Continuously improve allergenicity assessment processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of product safety.
  13. Collaborate with regulatory agencies and participate in audits and inspections related to allergenicity.
  14. Proactively identify potential allergen-related issues and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
  15. Represent the company at industry conferences and events to stay current on trends and advancements in allergenicity assessment and risk management.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Food Safety, Environmental Health, Or Related Field.

  • Knowledge And Understanding Of Allergenicity Regulations And Guidelines, Including Fda And Eu Regulations.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Mitigate Potential Allergen Risks.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate Allergen Safety Protocols To Employees And Stakeholders.
