Loss Prevention Officer

The Loss Prevention Officer must be able to assess and evaluate suspicious activities and be able to provide evidence-based documentation.Qualifications:• At least 1+ years of retail loss prevention experience• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience• Ability to think on your feet and make sound decisions• Ability to communicate effectively in English• Commitment to customer service excellence• Prior law enforcement experience is an asset• Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies• Proficient in the use of technology and loss prevention equipment• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities:

• Monitor customer interactions for any suspicious activities and take appropriate action to investigate • Monitor customer movements and take appropriate action to prevent shoplifting and other theft • Analyze surveillance footage to identify potential security risks and document incidents • Implement loss prevention strategies and programs to reduce risk and shrinkage • Utilize loss prevention equipment such as radios, two-way mirrors, and CCTV systems • Provide customer service assistance as needed • Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times • Respond to customer inquiries and address customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner • Remain knowledgeable of store policies and relevant laws • Prepare detailed reports of investigations and daily activities • Work closely with store leadership and local law enforcement to ensure the safety and security of all customers and personnel.
