Job Description

We at Barneys New York are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring accurate inventory, tracking, and maintenance of all products in the store. The Inventory Control Specialist will be a vital team member in helping Barneys New York achieve our inventory management goals and strategies.The ideal candidate should have a strong knowledge of inventory control processes and procedures, combined with excellent organizational and communication skills. The Inventory Control Specialist should have a great eye for detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. If you have experience in inventory control and are motivated to work in a fast-paced, retail environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and track all inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
  2. Complete regular physical inventory counts and audits.
  3. Maintain accurate records of inventory, including quantity, cost, location, and date of purchase.
  4. Develop and implement effective inventory control systems and procedures.
  5. Create and manage purchase orders and invoices.
  6. Analyze inventory data to identify trends and opportunities.
  7. Prepare reports and forecasts to provide insight into inventory levels.
  8. Train staff on proper inventory control techniques and procedures.
  9. Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient inventory management processes.
  10. Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures.
