Fashion Designer

The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and a keen eye for detail, as well as an ability to think outside the box and create unique, fresh designs that reflect our company's sophisticated aesthetic.We are looking for an individual who has a degree in fashion design, at least two years of experience in a similar role, and an impressive portfolio of their work. The successful candidate will be a highly creative individual with a passion for keeping up with the latest fashion trends, and will be able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines. They will also have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be an enthusiastic, proactive team player.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop innovative, high-end fashion collections that reflect Barneys New York's aesthetic.
2. Research and stay up-to-date with current and emerging fashion trends.
3. Maintain a portfolio of creative designs.
4. Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure deadlines are met.
5. Develop sketches and illustrations of new designs.
6. Source and select fabrics, trims, and other materials for collections.
7. Monitor production and ensure designs are being produced to the highest standard.
8. Participate in fitting sessions and make adjustments to garments as needed.
9. Develop marketing materials and other promotional activities.
10. Ensure all designs are in line with company guidelines and regulations.
