NetBackup/Storage Engineer

Responsible to manage and maintain the Bank’s storage based systems and deploy all of the storage technologies. You will work with programmers, system administrators and DBAs to optimize storage, backups, restores and replication. Work with Unix/Windows administrators on troubleshooting backup/restore issues. Install and manage Veritas NetBackup for NAS and SAN storage systems. Generate and monitor daily backup reports. Satisfy periodic audit requests. Handle Service Now tickets for backup, restores, schedule changes, etc. Work with vendors on support cases. Manage vendor site visits. Work as escalation for Unix and Windows teams. Work with vendor hardware replacement and refresh. Review system performance and efficiency Conduct bottleneck evaluations to identify performance issues. Provide remote support to manage Storage Controller (SAN, NAS, RAID Policies).
