  1. Develop and maintain mainframe systems for Bank of America using various programming languages and tools.
  2. Collaborate with other team members to design and implement new features and enhancements to existing systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and debug any issues that arise in the mainframe systems, ensuring they are resolved in a timely and efficient manner.
  4. Continuously research and stay updated on the latest mainframe technologies and techniques to enhance existing systems and processes.
  5. Write clean, efficient, and organized code that meets the company's coding standards and best practices.
  6. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.
  7. Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  8. Document code changes and system updates to ensure proper knowledge transfer and maintain system integrity.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.
  10. Act as a mentor for junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills.
  11. Adhere to security and compliance standards set by the company and ensure all code and systems meet these requirements.
  12. Participate in team meetings and provide regular updates on project progress and any potential roadblocks.
  13. Proactively identify and address any potential risks or issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
  14. Continuously strive for innovation and improvement, exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance mainframe systems and processes.
  15. Uphold the company's core values and promote a positive and collaborative work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Software Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Mainframe Software Development, Preferably In The Banking Or Financial Industry.

  • Proficiency In Mainframe Programming Languages Such As Cobol, Jcl, And Pl/1.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Operating Systems, Such As Z/Os, And Mainframe Databases, Such As Db2.

  • Experience With Mainframe Testing And Debugging Tools, Such As Ibm Debug Tool Or Xpediter.
