Job Description

  1. Implement and maintain security incident response plans and procedures.
  2. Monitor and analyze security alerts and events to identify potential security incidents.
  3. Conduct thorough investigations of security incidents to determine cause and impact.
  4. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather and analyze information related to security incidents.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contain and remediate security incidents.
  6. Develop and maintain incident response playbooks and documentation.
  7. Proactively identify vulnerabilities and risks to prevent potential security incidents.
  8. Stay updated on the latest security threats and trends to continuously improve incident response processes.
  9. Conduct post-incident reviews and provide recommendations for improving incident response processes.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including management and technical teams.
  11. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  12. Train and educate employees on security incident response procedures and best practices.
  13. Participate in incident response exercises and simulations to test and improve incident response capabilities.
  14. Generate reports and metrics to measure and communicate the effectiveness of incident response processes.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
  16. Act with a sense of urgency and professionalism in high-pressure situations.
  17. Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner when interacting with external parties.
  18. Continuously improve incident response processes based on lessons learned and industry best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Information Security Protocols And Best Practices: This Includes Expertise In Identifying And Mitigating Potential Risks, As Well As Experience With Incident Response Procedures.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: An Info Security Incident Management Specialist Must Be Able To Quickly Analyze Complex Situations And Make Sound Decisions Under Pressure.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In This Role, As The Specialist Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Various Stakeholders, Including Management, It Teams, And External Partners.

  • Experience With Incident Management Tools And Technologies: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience With Incident Management Tools Such As Siem, Ids/Ips, And Vulnerability Scanners.

  • Relevant Certifications: Bank Of America May Require Candidates To Have Industry Certifications Such As Certified Information Systems Security Professional (Cissp) Or Certified Incident Handler (Gcih) To Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Expertise In The Field Of Information Security Incident Management.
