  1. Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment for high net worth clients in the GWIM division.
  2. Utilize underwriting guidelines and policies to evaluate creditworthiness and recommend appropriate lending solutions.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, relationship managers, and credit officers.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of credit requests.
  5. Monitor and review existing credit facilities to assess ongoing credit risk and make recommendations for adjustments as needed.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory developments to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Provide guidance and support to junior underwriters and other team members.
  8. Communicate effectively with clients to explain credit decisions and address any concerns or questions.
  9. Prepare and present credit proposals to credit committees for approval.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on credit risk and underwriting processes, and provide training and support to other team members as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Underwriting Complex Credit Transactions: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5-7 Years Of Experience In Underwriting Complex Credit Transactions, Preferably In The Gwim (Global Wealth And Investment Management) Space. This Experience Should Include Evaluating Credit Risk For High Net Worth Individuals And Their Businesses.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: As A Senior Credit Underwriter, The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Assess The Creditworthiness Of Potential Borrowers. This Includes The Ability To Analyze Financial Statements, Tax Returns, And Other Relevant Documents To Make Informed Credit Decisions.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Compliance: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Compliance Guidelines Related To Lending, Particularly In The Gwim Sector. This Includes Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws, As Well As Internal Policies And Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Regular Interaction With Clients, Internal Stakeholders, And External Partners. The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Convey Credit Decisions, Negotiate Terms, And Build Strong Relationships.

  • Attention To Detail And Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks Effectively. As A Senior Credit Underwriter, They Will Be Responsible For Reviewing And Analyzing A High Volume Of Credit Requests And Must Be Able To Prioritize And Manage Their Workload Efficiently.
