- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and optimization.
- Develop merchandise plans and assortments that align with company goals and customer preferences.
- Monitor and track inventory levels to ensure proper product availability and minimize overstock and stockouts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including buying, marketing, and operations, to develop and execute effective merchandise strategies.
- Conduct regular store visits to gather feedback and insights on product performance and customer behavior.
- Utilize retail math and forecasting techniques to create accurate sales and inventory projections.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management on merchandise performance and recommendations for improvement.
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators, including sales, margin, and inventory turnover.
- Implement pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
- Identify and react to emerging trends and adjust merchandise plans accordingly.
- Partner with vendors to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.
- Train and mentor junior merchandise planning team members.
- Continuously monitor and improve merchandise planning processes and systems.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into company strategies.
- Uphold company values and maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Finance, Merchandising, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2-3 Years Experience In Merchandise Planning And Analysis, Preferably In The Retail Industry.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Interpret Data And Make Strategic Decisions.
Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools, As Well As Experience With Merchandise Planning Software.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Cross-Functionally With Other Teams Such As Buying, Inventory Management, And Marketing.
