Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Lead Data Engineer to join our team at Bain & Company. Our ideal candidate will have a passion for data engineering and analytics, as well as the ability to develop and implement solutions to complex data challenges. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who takes initiative and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.The Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for leading a team of data engineers in developing innovative data products and optimizing existing data solutions. In addition to managing the team, the Lead Data Engineer will be expected to develop new processes and procedures to improve data quality, reliability, and scalability.Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field, as well as 8+ years of experience in data engineering. Additionally, the successful candidate must have a strong background in database technologies and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, and R. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of data visualization and machine learning tools and techniques. Candidates should also possess excellent problem-solving and communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities:

Lead and manage a team of data engineers
Develop and implement innovative data solutions and products
Optimize existing data solutions
Create and maintain processes and procedures to improve data quality, reliability, and scalability
Develop database technologies and scripting languages such as SQL, Python, and R
Utilize data visualization and machine learning tools and techniques to analyze data
Solve complex data challenges
Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders
Work both independently and collaboratively to achieve team goals
