- Operate and maintain Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (SPMTs) in a safe and efficient manner
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on SPMTs to ensure proper functioning and identify any potential issues
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating SPMTs
- Collaborate with project teams to determine the most effective and efficient use of SPMTs for various projects
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during SPMT operations
- Monitor and maintain equipment inventory and ensure all necessary supplies are available for SPMT operation and maintenance
- Keep accurate records of SPMT usage, maintenance, and repairs
- Train and mentor new SPMT operators on proper operation and maintenance techniques
- Continuously strive for the highest level of quality and precision in SPMT operation and maintenance
- Stay up-to-date on industry advancements and best practices related to SPMT operation and maintenance
- Communicate effectively with team members and project managers to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
Experience Operating And Maintaining Self-Propelled Modular Transporters (Spmts) Or Other Heavy Equipment, Preferably In A Military Or Defense Industry Setting.
Knowledge Of Mechanical And Electrical Systems, As Well As Hydraulics, To Troubleshoot And Repair Any Issues That May Arise With The Spmt.
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Diagrams To Perform Routine Maintenance And Repairs On The Spmt.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills To Coordinate With Other Operators And Maintenance Personnel, As Well As Provide Updates To Supervisors And Project Managers.
Willingness To Work In A Fast-Paced, High-Pressure Environment With Strict Adherence To Safety Protocols And Procedures. This May Include Working In Varying Weather Conditions And Long Hours As Needed.
