  1. Develop and implement test strategies and plans for embedded software products, ensuring comprehensive coverage and adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  2. Design and execute manual and automated tests to identify defects and verify software functionality, reliability, and performance.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, project managers, and system engineers, to understand product requirements and design effective test cases.
  4. Utilize various testing tools and techniques to troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and propose solutions.

  6. Continuously improve and innovate testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  7. Mentor and train junior engineers on software testing best practices and techniques.

  9. Proactively communicate with team members and management to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and potential risks.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Knowledge Of Embedded Systems: A Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer At Bae Systems Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Embedded Systems And Their Components, Including Hardware, Firmware, And Software.

  • Experience With Test Automation Tools: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience With Various Test Automation Tools Such As Selenium, Junit, Or Cucumber, And Should Be Able To Design And Implement Automated Test Scripts.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages: A Senior Embedded Software Test Engineer Should Have Expertise In Programming Languages Such As C, C++, Java, Or Python, As Well As Experience With Embedded System-Specific Languages Like Assembly Or Vhdl.

  • Familiarity With Industry Standards: Bae Systems Operates In Highly Regulated Industries, And The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As Do-178C For Avionics Or Iec 61508 For Safety-Critical Systems.
