Extensive Experience In Fpga Design And Development: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Designing And Developing Complex Fpga Designs For Defense Or Aerospace Applications. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Fpga Architectures, Tools, And Technologies.
Strong Knowledge Of Hdls And Design Methodologies: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Hardware Description Languages (Hdls) Such As Verilog, Vhdl, Or Systemverilog And Their Use In Fpga Design. They Should Also Be Familiar With Industry-Standard Design Methodologies Such As Uvm And Agile.
Expertise In High-Speed And High-Reliability Designs: Bae Systems Deals With Advanced Defense And Aerospace Systems That Require High-Speed And High-Reliability Fpga Designs. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Designing For High-Speed Interfaces Like Pcie, 10/40/100G Ethernet, Or Jesd204B And Should Be Familiar With Techniques To Improve Reliability Such As Redundancy And Error Correction.
Leadership And Project Management Skills: As A Principal Fpga Design Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Engineers And Managing Complex Fpga Design Projects. They Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Be Able To Work In A Team Environment, And Have Experience In Project Management And Meeting Tight Deadlines.
Knowledge Of Defense And Aerospace Standards: Bae Systems Works On Projects That Require Compliance With Strict Defense And Aerospace Standards Such As Do-254 And Mil-Std-810. The Candidate Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Standards And Their Implementation In Fpga Designs. Experience With Safety-Critical Systems And Certification Processes Is A Plus.
