- Develop and implement material management strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Oversee the entire material value stream, from sourcing to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of material requirements.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast material needs and develop plans to meet production demands.
- Utilize lean principles to streamline processes and eliminate waste in material management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to ensure competitive and reliable sources of materials.
- Lead a team of material planners and coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure their success.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to material management, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies related to material management.
- Continuously seek out opportunities to improve and innovate our material management processes, staying up-to-date on industry trends and advancements.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Material Management, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Defense Industry.
Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Material Planners And Buyers.
Knowledge Of Lean Manufacturing Principles And Experience Implementing Them In A Material Value Stream.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Suppliers.
