- Develop and implement efficient and effective manufacturing processes for welding operations.
- Conduct process audits and identify areas for improvement to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards in the manufacturing process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during production.
- Train and mentor production staff on welding processes and techniques.
- Conduct research and stay updated on industry advancements to continuously improve processes.
- Analyze data and provide regular reports on process performance and improvements.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of process changes and updates.
- Collaborate with suppliers to source and evaluate new equipment and materials.
- Participate in product development and provide input on design for manufacturability.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures in the manufacturing process.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and successful production.
- Continuously strive for process improvement and innovation to maintain BAE Systems' position as a global leader in defense, security, and aerospace.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Or Welding Engineering
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Manufacturing Environment, Preferably In The Defense Industry
Proficiency In Welding Processes And Procedures, Including Tig, Mig, And Spot Welding
Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Such As Asme, Aws, And Mil-Std Specifications
Strong Problem-Solving And Analytical Skills, With The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Manufacturing Issues Efficiently.
