- Develop and implement efficient and effective manufacturing processes for the fabrication department.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely production of high-quality products.
- Analyze and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine the most efficient fabrication methods.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize production processes to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase productivity.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fabrication technology to suggest and implement innovative solutions.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Train and mentor production staff on new processes and equipment.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to source and evaluate new materials and equipment.
- Continuously monitor and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain production documentation, including work instructions and process control plans.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
- Communicate and collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and quality assurance, to ensure smooth production flow.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
- Act as a brand ambassador for BAE Systems and represent the company in a professional manner.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Manufacturing Environment, With A Focus On Fabrication Processes.
Strong Understanding Of Fabrication Techniques, Including Welding, Machining, And Sheet Metal Forming.
Proficient In Cad/Cam Software And Experience With Cnc Programming.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team To Troubleshoot And Solve Technical Problems On The Production Floor.
