  1. Conduct thorough and accurate analysis of fingerprints to assist in criminal investigations and intelligence gathering.

  6. Prepare detailed reports and documentation of findings for use in court proceedings and other legal proceedings.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and other professionals in a collaborative and professional manner.
  8. Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost professionalism and discretion.
  9. Adhere to all ethical and legal standards in the collection, analysis, and presentation of fingerprint evidence.
  10. Continuously improve and update skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
  11. Contribute to the overall success and mission of BAE Systems by providing high-quality and reliable forensic services.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures in the handling of evidence and equipment.
  13. Maintain accurate and organized records of all examinations and findings.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Forensic Science Or A Related Field: A Strong Educational Background In Forensic Science Is Essential For A Fingerprint Examiner Position At Bae Systems. This Degree Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills In Fingerprint Collection, Analysis, And Comparison.

  • Certification In Fingerprint Examination: Bae Systems May Require Applicants To Have A Certification In Fingerprint Examination From A Recognized Organization Such As The International Association For Identification (Iai) Or American Board Of Criminalistics (Abc). This Certification Demonstrates A High Level Of Expertise In The Field And A Commitment To Maintaining Professional Standards.

  • Experience In Fingerprint Analysis: Previous Experience In Fingerprint Analysis, Either Through Internships Or Work Experience, Is Highly Desirable For A Fingerprint Examiner Role. This Hands-On Experience Provides A Strong Foundation For Understanding The Complexities Of Fingerprint Evidence And The Ability To Accurately Analyze And Compare Prints.

  • Knowledge Of Fingerprint Databases And Software: Bae Systems May Require Candidates To Have Experience Working With Fingerprint Databases And Software, Such As Automated Fingerprint Identification Systems (Afis). This Knowledge Is Important For Efficiently Searching And Comparing Fingerprints In A Large Database.

  • Attention To Detail And Strong Analytical Skills: Fingerprint Analysis Requires A Keen Eye For Detail And The Ability To Analyze And Interpret Complex Patterns And Minutiae. A Fingerprint Examiner Must Be Detail-Oriented And Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Accurately Identify And Compare Fingerprints.
