- Conduct testing and maintenance of air traffic control landing systems to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy.
- Collaborate with a team of engineers to develop and improve landing system designs and processes.
- Troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues related to air traffic control landing systems.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and technological developments to continuously enhance system performance.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and testing activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working with potentially hazardous equipment.
- Provide technical expertise and support to other team members and departments as needed.
- Identify and report any issues or potential improvements to the engineering team.
- Follow standard operating procedures and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality in work.
- Continuously strive to improve and optimize system processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and maintenance to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to provide updates and progress reports.
- Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers as needed for system components and materials.
- Train and mentor junior engineering technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures and maintain a professional and ethical work environment.
Technical Expertise: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Engineering, Specifically In Atc Landing Systems. This Should Include A Strong Understanding Of The Design, Development, And Maintenance Of These Systems.
Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree In Engineering, Preferably In Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering, Or A Related Field. A Master's Degree May Be Preferred For A Higher-Level Position.
Certification: A Professional Engineering (Pe) License Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates A Thorough Understanding Of Engineering Principles And A Commitment To Maintaining High Standards In The Field.
Communication Skills: The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Team Members, Clients, And Other Stakeholders Is Crucial For Success In This Role. This Includes Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Present Technical Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
Teamwork And Leadership: Experience Working In A Team Environment And Leading Teams To Complete Projects On Time And Within Budget Is Important For This Role. The Candidate Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Think Creatively To Find Solutions To Complex Engineering Challenges.
