Extensive Technical Knowledge: A Deputy Business Area Engineering Director Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Engineering Principles And Practices, With A Specific Focus On The Cema (Cyber, Electronic Warfare, And Intelligence, Surveillance, And Reconnaissance) Domain. This Includes Knowledge Of Emerging Technologies And Industry Trends.
Leadership Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In A Leadership Role, With A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing And Developing High-Performing Engineering Teams. They Should Also Have Experience In Setting And Executing Strategic Goals, Managing Budgets, And Driving Innovation Within A Business Area.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Key Member Of The Management Team, The Deputy Business Area Engineering Director Must Be An Effective Communicator, Able To Convey Complex Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders. They Should Also Be Able To Build And Maintain Relationships With Customers, Partners, And Internal Teams.
Business Acumen: In Addition To Technical Expertise, The Deputy Business Area Engineering Director Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Business Operations, Including Financial Management, Risk Assessment, And Project Management.
