- Develop and implement security policies and procedures in accordance with government regulations and company standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters for the company's facilities and classified programs.
- Conduct security briefings and training for employees to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all security information, including personnel clearances and access to classified information.
- Coordinate with government agencies and contractors to ensure proper security measures are in place and maintained.
- Conduct regular security audits and inspections to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvement.
- Investigate and report any security incidents or breaches and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Manage the security clearance process for employees, including initial investigations and periodic reinvestigations.
- Collaborate with other security professionals and team members to develop and implement security plans and protocols.
- Stay informed of any changes in security regulations and ensure company compliance.
- Provide guidance and assistance to employees on security-related matters.
- Serve as the lead in the event of a security incident or emergency, including coordinating with law enforcement and other agencies.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Continuously assess and improve security procedures to mitigate potential risks and threats.
- Act as a liaison between the company, government agencies, and contractors regarding security matters.
Security Clearance: A Qualified Afso/Acpso At Bae Systems Must Possess A Current And Active Security Clearance, Preferably At The Top Secret Level, To Ensure They Have The Necessary Access And Knowledge To Handle Sensitive Information.
Experience In Industrial Security: Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Industrial Security, Preferably In A Defense Contracting Environment. This Includes Experience In Managing Classified Programs, Conducting Security Briefings, And Implementing Security Procedures.
Knowledge Of Government Regulations: The Afso/Acpso Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Government Regulations And Requirements Related To Industrial Security, Such As The National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (Nispom) And Defense Security Service (Dss) Guidelines.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of Afso/Acpso Requires Regular Communication With Employees And Government Officials. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships.
