  1. Lead the development and enhancement of the data platform for Jira Align, ensuring high-quality and scalable solutions.
  2. Drive data initiatives and promote a data-driven culture within the organization.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data needs and drive data-driven decision making.
  4. Manage and mentor a team of talented engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.
  5. Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for data projects.
  6. Define and implement best practices for data management, data quality, and data governance.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in data technologies, and make recommendations for their implementation in the organization.
  8. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including technical and non-technical audiences.
  9. Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues related to data projects.
  10. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that promotes innovation and continuous improvement.
  11. Monitor and report on the progress and performance of data projects to senior leadership.
  12. Lead by example in upholding Atlassian's values and promoting a positive work culture.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience In Software Engineering And Management: The Senior Engineering Manager Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Software Engineering, With A Minimum Of 3-5 Years In A Managerial Role. This Experience Should Include Working With Large Scale Software Development Projects And Managing Cross-Functional Teams.

  • Expertise In Jira Align And Data Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Jira Align And Its Capabilities, Particularly In The Context Of Data Management. They Should Have Experience In Setting Up And Managing Data Pipelines, Data Warehouses, And Data Analytics Platforms.

  • Proven Track Record In Agile Methodologies: Atlassian Is Known For Its Agile Approach, And As The Senior Engineering Manager, The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Agile Principles And Methodologies. They Should Have Experience Leading Agile Teams And Implementing Agile Practices In A Software Development Environment.
