- Develop and implement strategies to promote supplier diversity within AT&T's supply chain.
- Identify and evaluate potential diverse suppliers, including minority-owned, women-owned, and veteran-owned businesses.
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and identify opportunities for diverse supplier utilization.
- Build and maintain relationships with diverse suppliers, including conducting outreach and networking events.
- Conduct market research to identify new and emerging diverse suppliers and industries.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with diverse suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
- Monitor and track supplier diversity spend and report progress to leadership.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote and support supplier diversity initiatives.
- Provide training and support to internal teams on supplier diversity best practices.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in supplier diversity and incorporate them into AT&T's processes.
- Advise and consult on supplier diversity policies and practices within the company.
- Represent AT&T at supplier diversity events and conferences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all diversity and inclusion policies and regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve supplier diversity programs to drive business growth and meet company goals.
Extensive Experience In Supplier Diversity Sourcing: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Supplier Diversity Sourcing, Preferably In A Large Corporation. They Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Supplier Diversity Programs And Initiatives, As Well As A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Such Programs.
Strong Knowledge Of Diversity And Inclusion: The Sr Supplier Diversity Sourcing Manager Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Diversity And Inclusion Principles And Practices. This Includes Knowledge Of Diverse Supplier Certification Processes, Diverse Supplier Databases, And Diversity Spend Reporting Requirements.
Excellent Communication And Relationship-Building Skills: This Role Requires Strong Communication And Relationship-Building Skills, Both Internally And Externally. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate The Benefits Of Supplier Diversity To Internal Stakeholders And Build And Maintain Relationships With Diverse Suppliers.
Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Sr Supplier Diversity Sourcing Manager Should Be A Strategic Thinker With The Ability To Identify And Address Potential Barriers To Diversity And Inclusion In The Supply Chain. They Should Also Be Able To Develop And Implement Creative Solutions To Increase Diversity Spend And Supplier Diversity Program Effectiveness.
Project Management And Leadership Experience: This Role Requires Strong Project Management Skills And The Ability To Lead Cross-Functional Teams. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Managing Complex Projects, Setting And Meeting Deadlines, And Leading Diverse Teams Towards A Common Goal. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Managing Supplier Diversity Budgets And Presenting To Senior Management.
