Job Description

  1. Manage and maintain the university's computer systems and network infrastructure.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise in a timely manner.
  3. Monitor system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
  4. Install, configure, and update software and hardware systems.
  5. Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
  6. Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement solutions for system improvements.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry.
  8. Provide technical support and training to university staff and students.
  9. Ensure compliance with security protocols and policies.
  10. Keep accurate records of system configurations and updates.
  11. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including management, staff, and students.
  12. Proactively identify and address potential system vulnerabilities.
  13. Participate in system testing and evaluation.
  14. Prepare and present reports on system performance and improvements.
  15. Adhere to university policies and procedures.
  16. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Systems Administration Role, Preferably In A Higher Education Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Windows And Linux Operating Systems.

  • Experience With Virtualization Technologies Such As Vmware Or Hyper-V.

  • Excellent Troubleshooting Skills And The Ability To Work Well Under Pressure In A Fast-Paced Environment.
