Sports Information Director

- Develop and implement strategic plans to promote Asuza Pacific University's athletic programs and events
- Write engaging and informative content for various platforms, including social media, website, and press releases
- Serve as the primary media contact for all athletic events and coordinate media coverage
- Create and maintain relationships with local and national media outlets to increase visibility and coverage of our athletic programs
- Manage and update the university's athletic website with current and accurate information
- Collaborate with coaches and athletes to gather information and stories for promotional content
- Coordinate and execute media days and press conferences for major athletic events
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and social media engagement to assess the effectiveness of promotional efforts
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the university's sports information strategies
- Manage a team of student interns and volunteers to assist with sports information tasks and projects
- Represent the university at conferences and networking events to build relationships and promote our athletic programs.
Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Sports Information, Preferably At The Collegiate Level.
Strong Writing And Editing Skills, With An Ability To Craft Compelling Press Releases, Game Recaps, And Other Content.
Proficiency In Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, And Other Relevant Software.
Knowledge Of Ncaa Regulations And Compliance Guidelines.
