Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian to join our team and help maintain the cleanliness and organization of our campus facilities. As a custodian, you will play a crucial role in promoting a positive and welcoming atmosphere for all members of our community.   1. Ensure the cleanliness and organization of all campus facilities, including classrooms, offices, common areas, and restrooms.
  2. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting surfaces.
  3. Empty and properly dispose of trash and recycling.
  4. Stock and maintain supplies in restrooms and other designated areas.
  5. Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate department.
  6. Follow established cleaning and safety protocols to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  7. Assist with event set-up and clean-up as needed.
  8. Collaborate with other custodial staff to ensure all areas are properly cared for.
  9. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
  10. Adhere to the university's code of conduct and uphold a high standard of ethics and integrity.
  11. Attend training sessions and meetings to stay updated on cleaning techniques and procedures.
  12. Be flexible and willing to work evenings or weekends as needed.
  13. Uphold the university's mission and values in all aspects of the job.
  14. Take ownership and pride in the appearance and cleanliness of the campus.
  15. Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
