
Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach

We are currently seeking an Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach to join our dynamic coaching staff and help lead our teams to success. - Assist Head Coach in developing and implementing training plans for track and field/cross country athletes.
- Provide individualized coaching and instruction to student-athletes to improve their technical skills and overall performance.
- Support and motivate student-athletes to achieve their academic and athletic goals.
- Help recruit and retain talented student-athletes for the track and field/cross country teams.
- Assist with organizing and managing team practices, competitions, and travel arrangements.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and successful team environment.
- Maintain a safe and positive training environment for student-athletes.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and university staff regarding team updates and progress.
- Act as a role model for student-athletes by demonstrating good sportsmanship, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
- Continuously seek professional development opportunities to improve coaching skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
- Support the overall mission and values of Asuza Pacific University and the athletic department.
- Assist with fundraising and community outreach efforts to support the track and field/cross country program.
- Attend all team meetings, events, and competitions as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field (E.g. Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Sports Management)
Prior Coaching Experience At The High School Or Collegiate Level
Extensive Knowledge Of Track And Field/Cross Country Training Methods And Techniques
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills To Effectively Work With Student-Athletes And Other Coaches
Commitment To The Mission And Values Of Asuza Pacific University, Including Promoting Academic And Spiritual Growth In Student-Athletes.
