Assistant Track & Field/Cross Country Coach

1. Assist Head Coach in developing and implementing training plans for track and field/cross country athletes.
2. Provide individualized coaching and instruction to student-athletes to improve their technical skills and overall performance.
3. Support and motivate student-athletes to achieve their academic and athletic goals.
4. Help recruit and retain talented student-athletes for the track and field/cross country teams.
5. Assist with organizing and managing team practices, competitions, and travel arrangements.
6. Collaborate with other coaches and staff to ensure a cohesive and successful team environment.
7. Maintain a safe and positive training environment for student-athletes.
8. Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and university staff regarding team updates and progress.
9. Act as a role model for student-athletes by demonstrating good sportsmanship, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
10. Continuously seek professional development opportunities to improve coaching skills and knowledge.
11. Adhere to all university, conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.
12. Support the overall mission and values of Asuza Pacific University and the athletic department.
13. Assist with fundraising and community outreach efforts to support the track and field/cross country program.
14. Attend all team meetings, events, and competitions as required.
15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director.
