Assist the Category Buyer in performing strategic sourcing and procurement for assigned commodities across all US facilities. Support bidding, negotiating and implementing national sourcing deals for assigned commodities. Serve as the primary resource for understanding national, regional, and local procurement requirements. Perform detailed analysis (return on investment, supply-demand analysis, price-value analysis, etc.) to evaluate alternative sourcing strategies Minimize inventory levels through supplier management/stocking, just-in-time inventory management, consignments agreements and other techniques Manage national relationships with suppliers.
