Supervise and direct the preparation of Business Unit’s financial statements. Manage the accounting function by supervising daily, weekly, and monthly accounting activities, month-end and year-end financial closing. Provide leadership and opportunities for professional growth and development for the team. Review the reasonableness of the businesses’ financial results prior to month end financial closings. Review general ledger accounts to ensure that activity complies with company policies and procedures and that balances are accurately stated. Maintain appropriate input and support documents for operating statements and general ledger balances. Monitor internal control environment and propose enhancements, when applicable. Ensure timely, accurate communication of relevant information to operating components and clients. Identify process improvements within the team, focused on efficiencies and risk-based review.
