Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic and driven Sr. Optical Process Engineer to join the Applied Materials team. This position will be responsible for designing, developing and troubleshooting complex optical systems and processes to meet customer requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced engineer with a passion for technology and a commitment to excellence.The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in optical engineering and optics. In addition, the Sr. Optical Process Engineer must have knowledge of optical design, fabrication, testing, and analysis of optical components, systems, and processes. Must be able to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, and have a strong background in problem solving and troubleshooting. Finally, the candidate must be able to work independently and within a team, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex optical systems and processes to meet customer requirements.
  2. Utilize knowledge of optical design, fabrication, testing, and analysis of optical components, systems, and processes.
  3. Effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
  4. Analyze and solve problems with optical systems and processes.
  5. Work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of optical engineering and optics.
  7. Prepare accurate technical documentation and reports.
  8. Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
  9. Conduct research and development to improve existing optical systems and processes.
  10. Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure successful implementation of optical systems and processes.
