
Product Line Manager, Obsolescence

- Develop and implement product strategies to effectively manage the entire product lifecycle, from development to end-of-life.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify market trends and customer needs, and use this information to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.
- Monitor and analyze product performance, sales data, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for product enhancements or modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, sales, and marketing, to ensure that product development and launch plans align with company goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage product budgets, including forecasting and tracking sales and expenses, to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
- Keep abreast of industry developments, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify potential threats and opportunities for the product line.
- Work closely with the procurement team to manage the supply chain and ensure timely delivery of materials and components for product manufacturing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to understand their needs and gather feedback, and use this information to improve and enhance the product line.
- Create and deliver product presentations and training materials to educate internal teams and external stakeholders on product features, benefits, and performance.
- Implement strategies to mitigate the impact of obsolescence on the product line, including identifying alternative components or redesigning products to extend their lifecycle.
- Monitor and report on product line performance, including sales, profitability, and market share, and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Lead and mentor a team of product managers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the product line.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards, to ensure compliance and maintain a high level of quality for the product line.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Product Line Manager, Obsolescence Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Order To Understand The Complexities Of The Products And Technologies Involved In The Role.
Prior Experience In Product Management: This Role Requires A Deep Understanding Of Product Lifecycles And The Ability To Develop Strategies For Managing Obsolescence. Previous Experience In Product Management Is Essential For Success In This Position.
Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management: As A Product Line Manager, Obsolescence, One Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Supply Chain Processes And Be Able To Collaborate Effectively With Suppliers And Internal Teams To Manage End-Of-Life Products.
