Job Description

At Applied Materials, we’re looking for an Engineering Technician who is passionate about technology and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As an Engineering Technician, you will be responsible for installing and configuring computer systems, as well as providing technical support and troubleshooting.The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in engineering, as well as experience with computer systems. You must have the ability to assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential to success in this role. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Install and configure computer systems and provide technical support and troubleshooting.
  2. Assess customer needs and provide appropriate solutions.
  3. Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  5. Work independently and collaboratively on a team.
  6. Stay current on the latest technology and engineering trends.
  7. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise.
  8. Develop and maintain technical documentation.
  9. Follow safety protocols when handling and installing hardware.
  10. Provide training to other technicians and users on new systems.
