  1. Maintain and troubleshoot critical systems: The primary responsibility of a Critical Facilities Technician is to ensure the proper functioning of critical systems such as power, cooling, and fire suppression systems. This includes regularly monitoring and testing these systems, identifying and addressing any issues, and performing routine maintenance to prevent future problems.
  2. Conduct repairs and upgrades: In addition to regular maintenance, the Critical Facilities Technician will also be responsible for conducting repairs and upgrades on critical systems as needed. This may involve replacing faulty components, upgrading equipment to improve efficiency, or installing new systems to support business growth.
  3. Ensure uptime and reliability: As our critical facilities are essential to our operations, it is crucial that the Critical Facilities Technician maintains high levels of uptime and reliability. This includes quickly responding to any system failures or emergencies, implementing backup plans to minimize downtime, and continuously seeking ways to improve system performance.
  4. Monitor and manage energy usage: The Critical Facilities Technician will also be responsible for monitoring and managing energy usage in our facilities. This may involve identifying areas for energy efficiency improvements, implementing energy-saving measures, and tracking energy consumption to ensure it meets regulatory requirements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams: As a member of the Facilities team, the Critical Facilities Technician will work closely with other teams such as IT, engineering, and operations to ensure the smooth operation of critical systems. This may involve coordinating maintenance schedules, providing technical support, and collaborating on projects to improve facility operations.
  6. Keep accurate records: It is essential to maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and upgrades performed on critical systems. The Critical Facilities Technician will be responsible for keeping detailed records and using them to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices: To excel in this role, the Critical Facilities Technician must stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to critical systems.
