- Operate and maintain wire EDM machines to produce high-quality precision parts for our customers.
- Set up and adjust machine settings and tooling according to blueprints and specifications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot any issues with the machine and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimum performance.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards and make any necessary adjustments.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure a safe working environment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve skills and keep up-to-date with new technologies and techniques in wire EDM machining.
- Train and mentor new employees as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production flow and timely completion of orders.
- Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Identify and report any equipment or material issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
Proficiency In Wire Edm Operation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Wire Edm Machines And Be Able To Operate Them Efficiently And Safely. This Includes Knowledge Of Programming, Setting Up And Operating Wire Edm Machines, And Troubleshooting Any Issues That May Arise During The Machining Process.
Technical Skills And Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Operating Wire Edm Machines Is Required For This Position. The Candidate Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Blueprints, Technical Drawings, And Cnc Programming.
Attention To Detail: As An Edm Machinist, The Candidate Will Be Working With Precision Instruments And Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail. This Includes Understanding And Interpreting Complex Technical Drawings, Measuring And Inspecting Finished Parts, And Making Adjustments As Needed.
Physical Ability: The Job Of A Wire Edm Machinist Requires Physical Stamina And The Ability To Stand For Long Periods Of Time. The Candidate Must Also Be Able To Lift And Move Heavy Materials And Equipment, As Well As Operate Hand And Power Tools.
Problem-Solving Skills: Wire Edm Machining Can Present Unexpected Challenges, And The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Problem-Solving Abilities. This Includes The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Issues With Machines, Tools, And Materials, As Well As Adapt To Changing Situations To Ensure High-Quality Production.
