- Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently to ensure the safety and quality of blood products.
- Adhere to standard operating procedures and protocols to maintain compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all test results and communicate any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Monitor and troubleshoot equipment and report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of testing and reporting.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in technology to continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and communicating with donors, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in training and development programs to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the American Red Cross and actively contribute to the organization's goals and objectives.
- Display excellent communication skills and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and other departments.

Bachelor's Degree In Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Or A Related Field
Current Certification As A Medical Laboratory Scientist Or Technologist (Mls/Mt) Through Ascp Or Equivalent
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Clinical Laboratory Setting, Preferably In Blood Banking Or Transfusion Services
Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Regulations, Including Clia And Fda Guidelines
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, Attention To Detail, And Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
