  1. Conduct and oversee advanced testing and analysis of blood products to ensure accuracy and safety.
  2. Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment.
  3. Follow established protocols and procedures to maintain quality and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  4. Collaborate with team members and other departments to coordinate and prioritize testing needs.
  5. Review and interpret test results, troubleshoot any issues, and report findings accurately and promptly.
  6. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed.
  7. Participate in continuous learning and training to stay updated on new techniques and technology in the field of immunohematology.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  9. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  10. Assist with the development and implementation of new testing methods and procedures.
  11. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any malfunctions.
  12. Follow all confidentiality protocols to protect sensitive patient information.
  13. Handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with established protocols.
  14. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the American Red Cross and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Medical Laboratory Science Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Immunohematology Or Blood Banking

  • Certification As A Medical Technologist (Mt) Or Medical Laboratory Scientist (Mls) By A Recognized Certifying Agency

  • Proficient In Performing Complex Laboratory Procedures And Interpreting Results

  • Knowledge Of Regulatory Requirements And Quality Control Processes In A Clinical Laboratory Setting.
