- Develop and implement strategies to recruit and retain volunteers for the American Red Cross.
- Maintain strong relationships with current volunteers and engage them in various opportunities to support the organization's mission.
- Act as a liaison between volunteers and the organization, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Plan and coordinate volunteer events, trainings, and recognition programs.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify volunteer needs and create volunteer roles that align with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Utilize various communication channels (e.g. email, social media, phone calls) to effectively communicate with volunteers and promote volunteer opportunities.
- Conduct volunteer orientations and trainings to ensure volunteers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill their roles.
- Keep accurate records of volunteer information and activities in a timely manner.
- Monitor and evaluate volunteer programs and make recommendations for improvement.
- Represent the organization at community events and networking opportunities to promote volunteerism and engage potential volunteers.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in volunteer management to continuously improve the organization's volunteer engagement efforts.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Nonprofit Management, Communications, Or Public Relations.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Volunteer Management Or Community Outreach.
Strong Leadership Skills And Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team Of Volunteers.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Diverse Groups Of Volunteers And Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Disaster Response And Emergency Management Principles, As Well As Understanding Of The American Red Cross Mission And Values.
