Quarantine and Labeling Technician

- Maintain and enforce strict adherence to all quarantine and labeling procedures for blood products, in accordance with FDA and American Red Cross guidelines.
- Monitor and track all incoming and outgoing blood products to ensure proper labeling and quarantine protocols are followed.
- Conduct thorough inspections of all blood products to identify any discrepancies or potential safety concerns.
- Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure proper flow of information and coordination of tasks related to quarantine and labeling.
- Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed records of all blood products in quarantine, including dates, reasons for quarantine, and final disposition.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate release of blood products from quarantine when appropriate.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
- Provide support to other team members as needed, including assisting with blood product inventory and shipments.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on all quarantine and labeling procedures and regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency and accuracy of quarantine and labeling procedures.
Knowledge Of Quarantine And Labeling Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Quarantine And Labeling Protocols In Order To Properly Handle And Track Various Materials And Supplies.
Attention To Detail: This Role Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail In Order To Accurately Label And Track Items, As Well As Identify Potential Errors Or Discrepancies.
Organizational Skills: As A Quarantine And Labeling Technician, One Must Be Able To Effectively Manage And Maintain Inventory Systems, Ensuring That All Items Are Properly Labeled, Stored, And Accounted For.
Communication Skills: Strong Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role, As The Technician Will Be Responsible For Relaying Information To Other Team Members And Coordinating With Other Departments.
